    Dave Bromelkamp is the founding Principal of Allodium Investment Consultants, where he serves as President and CEO. Dave is also the Chief Investment Officer for the firm and serves on Allodium's Investment Committee. He has more than 27 years of investment consulting experience with both institutional and individual investors.

    Dave was formerly a Senior Vice President with RBC Dain Rauscher, where he led a team of investment management consultants providing investment advisory services to fiduciary clients and accredited investors. He was a founding member of the Senior Consulting Group at RBC Dain Rauscher, which represented a group of the firm's leading investment management consultants.

    Dave has served as a director on the Boards of the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants and Catholic Charities of St. Paul & Minneapolis. He is currently a member of the Planned Giving Committee at St. John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota.

    He is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), a professional association of fee-only advisors with high standards of professional competency and client-centered financial planning.

    Dave holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies (www.fi360.com) and is one of the founding members of the Minnesota Fiduciary Roundtable, established by graduates of the Center for Fiduciary Studies as an open forum for sharing and promoting fiduciary standards and best practices.

    Dave speaks frequently to professional trade associations on the best practices of fiduciary investment management. He has taught Continuing Professional Education courses on fiduciary investment management for the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants (MNCPA) and the Minnesota State Bar Association. He has also taught graduate courses as an Adjunct Instructor in Finance at the Opus College of Business at the University of St. Thomas.

    Anne Ward is a Principal and Director of Financial Planning at Allodium Investment Consultants, specializing in investment strategies and comprehensive financial planning for affluent individuals and families. She focuses on designing and implementing goal-based, tax-efficient investment strategies to help clients achieve their unique personal financial goals. Anne chairs Allodium's Financial Planning Committee and serves on the Executive, Investment, Client Service and Fiduciary Consulting Committees.

    Anne graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and investments and minors in accounting and Spanish. She also holds a Master of Science in personal financial planning from the College for Personal Financial Planning, which expands her knowledge to better serve her clients. Anne believes in life-long learning and has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®), Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) and Master Planner Advanced Studies (MPAS®) designations. Anne is a NAPFA-Registered Financial Advisor through the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), a professional association of fee-only advisors with high standards of professional competency and client-centered financial planning.     Anne has nearly 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. One of her favorite topics is sustainable and socially responsible investing (SRI). For several years, Anne has been honored with the FIVE STAR Wealth Manager recognition as published in Mpls.St.Paul Magazine.

    Anne lives in the southern suburbs with her husband, two daughters and son. Like many working mothers, her hobbies include attending her children's activities, such as lacrosse, dance and horseback riding. She also volunteers for nonprofits and is an active member of her church. She enjoys service to others and plans a monthly volunteer project for girls at her church.

    Eric Hutchens is a Principal and Director of Investment Research at Allodium Investment Consultants, specializing in investment strategies and comprehensive financial planning for affluent individuals and families. He also leads the CEFEX certification process for Allodium, which incorporates an evidence-based investment approach. With 18 years of experience in the financial services industry, he focuses on designing and implementing goal-based, tax-efficient investment strategies to help clients achieve their unique goals. Eric serves on Allodium's Investment, Fiduciary Consulting and Financial Planning Committees..

    Eric earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor of Science in history from the University of Wisconsin—Madison. He has earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designations to further his professional development and help him better serve clients.

    Eric is a NAPFA-Registered Financial Advisor through the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), a professional association of fee-only advisors with high standards of professional competency and client-centered financial planning.

    Prior to joining Allodium, Eric spent 15 years with an asset management firm in the Twin Cities, a decade of which he served as a financial planner. Eric has also been honored several times with the FIVE STAR Wealth Manager recognition as published in Mpls.St.Paul Magazine.

    Eric lives in the southern suburbs with his wife, two sons and two dogs. He enjoys spending his free time with family, attending concerts with his wife, and relaxing by the pool. Eric serves on the elder board of his church, where he likes volunteering his time and energy.

    Kari Cedergren is an Investment Consultant at Allodium Investment Consultants. She takes a consultative approach to helping clients achieve their financial goals. She believes that investors benefit from a well-designed plan to help them navigate life. Kari serves on Allodium's Investment, Financial Planning and Fiduciary Consulting Committees.

    Kari holds a Bachelor of Arts in general business with a minor in psychology. She also earned a Master of Business Administration, which prepared her to bring an adaptable global perspective to serve clients in a rapidly changing world. She was awarded the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) and  Certified Retirement Counselor (CRC®) designations. 

    Kari is a NAPFA-Registered Financial Advisor through the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), a professional association of fee-only financial advisors with high standards of professional competency and client-centered financial planning.     Kari has over 15 years of experience in financial services. At a previous firm, she served clients throughout the United States as an investment consultant. Kari has also served clients as an IRA specialist and an institutional trust consultant. Over the years, Kari has shared her expertise with clients and peers through various speaking engagements.

    Kari lives in the northern suburbs. She dedicates her personal time to education and public speaking about community issues, such as animal advocacy. She is a sustaining patron and volunteer for animal rescue concerns throughout Minnesota. Kari also loves horses and is a proficient equestrian.

    Carrie Kaestner is a Client Service Manager at Allodium Investment Consultants. Carrie develops financial plans, prepares reports and financial statements and performs other financial planning duties. Carrie and the Allodium service team strive to deliver impeccable customer service by adhering to high client service standards and implementing new technology and procedures to produce exemplary results. Carrie is a member of Allodium’s Financial Planning and Client Service Committees.

    Carrie came to Allodium in 2017 with over 18 years of experience in the investment profession. Her previous professional experience focused on providing customer support and documentation in the areas of retirement planning, estate distribution, tax planning, and income and cash flow management. Carrie graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin. She takes pride in delivering personalized client service and support to help clients achieve their financial goals.

    In her spare time, Carrie is an outdoor enthusiast with a lifelong passion for horseback riding. She spends many weekends exploring the trails in Minnesota and Wisconsin with her Morgan horse, Shayla, and two dogs, JD (English Springer Spaniel) and Kira (cattle dog mix). She also enjoys pheasant hunting with JD.

    Renae Mottaz is a Client Service Associate at Allodium Investment Consultants. It brings Renae great satisfaction to help clients reach their goals and to see them take steps towards making their dreams come true. She currently serves on Allodium’s Client Service Committee.

    Renae joined Allodium in 2016 after working four years as a Client Relationship Manager for another investment advisory firm. While at this firm, Renae completed extensive coursework and training in the securities industry, passing her Series 7 and 66 exams.

    Renae makes her home in Roseville with her husband, David. They have two children, Tony and Maddie. Renae enjoys spending time with her family whenever possible as they all share a love of music, baseball and camping. Renae enjoys quilting and hiking. She is active in her church and volunteers with her husband as a PREPARE mentor.

    Victoria Simpson is a Client Service Associate at Allodium Investment Consultants. She is responsible for client service, business development and event planning. She assists the investment consultants with the preparation of documents for client meetings and helps apply and reconcile transactions to clients' accounts. She enjoys listening to clients’ needs and likes helping them achieve their goals. She also currently serves on Allodium's Client Service, Marketing and Employee Committees.

    Victoria joined Allodium in 2016 with 18 years of experience in customer service, sales support and executive support, the last seven of which were in the mortgage banking industry.

    Victoria was born and raised in England where she earned a degree in hotel and hospitality management. She was a member of the British Freestyle Ski Team for ten years and represented Great Britain in the 1992 Winter Olympic Games in Albertville, France. After retiring from competitive skiing, she emigrated and settled in Minnesota.

    In her free time, Victoria enjoys leisurely walks and bicycle rides in the sunshine. She also enjoys working in the garden and spending time with her mother, boyfriend and friends. She loves to travel and still enjoys skiing recreationally on bright sunny days, but especially likes warmer vacations at the beach and pool!

    Tyler Chapman serves as the Director of Business Operations and Chief Compliance Officer at Allodium Investment Consultants. In this position, Tyler oversees and manages the ongoing operations and compliance of the firm. He also chairs the Executive Committee, leads Allodium’s company meetings, and serves on the Employee Committee.

    Before coming to Allodium in 2013, Tyler served as the Senior Admission Fellow in Amherst’s admission office, where he guided high school students in their college search, hired and managed student workers, and reviewed applications to the college alongside other deans. He also worked with the Telementoring Program, a non-profit that assists first generation students in applying to colleges.

    Tyler earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and music as a double major from Amherst College in Massachusetts. He is currently pursuing an M.B.A. at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.

    Being a small town Minnesota native, Tyler enjoys being near his large family—parents, siblings, and many nieces and nephews, who have been growing quickly in both age and number.

    In his spare time, Tyler enjoys all types of music, contributing to theater productions, and volunteering at the Guthrie Theater. He also enjoys exploring the great outdoors, camping and fishing. In addition, he has served as a Financial Advocate and helped develop a financial coaching program for Prepare & Prosper, a nonprofit that helps families move out of poverty.

    Kerry serves as a Business Operations Consultant at Allodium Investment Consultants, helping to plan, manage and monitor the firm's business operations.

    Kerry first joined Allodium as Chief Operating Officer—initially as a consultant in 2007 and then as an employee in 2008. In 2013, Kerry moved away from the Twin Cities area, and in late 2014, he stepped down as Chief Operating Officer to resume a consultant role. Kerry serves on Allodium's Executive and Compliance Committees.

    Kerry has over 33 years of experience in the financial services industry in a diverse range of roles, including executive leadership, client service management, project management, technology development, sales support, marketing and finance. He joined Allodium from Ameriprise Financial where he spent most of his career earning various honors through the years for personal performance, innovation, quality and results. He has also worked for 3M and Target Corporations.

    Kerry earned a Bachelor of Science in finance with honors from St. Cloud State University and a Master of Business Administration in general management with an emphasis in entrepreneurship from the University of St. Thomas.

    Kerry lives in Arizona with his high school sweetheart whom he had the good fortune to marry many years ago. In his free time, Kerry enjoys family, friends, learning, reading, traveling and outdoor activities like hiking, biking and kayaking.

    Dawn Coughlin works part-time at Allodium, assisting with financial management, compliance, human resources, client service and office maintenance.

    Dawn holds a Bachelor of Arts in individualized studies from Metropolitan State University. Prior to joining Allodium, Dawn worked at Windsor Financial Group for 18 years, assisting with client service, performance reporting, trading and compliance. She has also worked at Marquette Capital Management Corporation and Marquette Bank in their Trust Services Department.

    Dawn and her husband, Brian, enjoy spending time with family and friends at their cabin in northern Minnesota. She enjoys traveling, reading mysteries and watching movies.

    Ilona Avraamides is a Marketing Associate at Allodium Investment Consultants. Ilona is responsible for business development, branding continuity, and communications. Ilona chairs the Marketing Committee and serves on the Employee Committee.

    Ilona joined the firm in 2016 with over 18 year of experience in marketing, finance, accounting and operations in both profit and nonprofit sectors.

    Ilona holds a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in international business from Bethel University and a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Iowa State University. She is currently taking graphic design classes at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, working towards a certificate in design foundations.

    Spending time with her family is important to Ilona. She lives in Fridley with her husband, two sons and a cat. She also enjoys art, studying theology, reading mysteries and cooking.
